Before you do that, have a buddy push down on the hood about
1/8" -1/2" ....then pull the release cable.

than you both for the reply i will try both sugestions but at the moment i have to stay away from the car because all i want to do right now is break it into little pieces with a hammer so i must calm down befor i try.
well i was gonna remove the front tires to see if i could loosen the bolts on the front of the hood so i could get a little play out of it but now i cant find the wheel locks. so i just need a little while for the to take affect and again thanks for the replys they both sound good

ok i went out and foud the little round rubber plug removed it and used a long screw driver and felt around and found where i had to push and when i did i clould hear both latches moving but i guess that cause the latches arnt aligned and the hood isnt perfect yet it wasnt releasing the hood so now i am down to waiting for one of my friends to come over and give me a hand with this but i feel like i made a little progress and i will keep trying and thanks for all the help guys. hoods not open but i feel better now that i can hear the latches moving. probobly just need someone to push down and then try the latches again. BTW this message board ROCKS

I had a similar thing happen once when I had the hood off. After putting the hood on, I didn't have it aligned right. The hood latches hung up ot the holes they go into. I ended up having to grind the hinge nuts off from inside the wheel wells. They are welded to the metal reinforcement. After grinding one side off I could move the hood enough to get it to open. Now I have standard nuts holding that hood hinge on.

looks like i am gonna have to grind the bolts off cause the latch is so bound up its not letting go and if that doesnt work it looks like im gonna break the hood to get it off im at the point now that i wish i didnt put the engine back in so i could align the latches correctly from the inside.this is becoming a real PITA. sorry i just needed to

ok i had to go out today and buy a grinder and let me tell you it worked like a charm. i had to gring off the bolts from both sides but now the hood is off and i just want to say thank you to you guys for helping me out with this bad situation that i was in. well if the hood release cable ever breaks i know how to open the hood with a 12" screw driver and now that the hood is gonna have nuts holding the front hinges on i can just remover the nut if this ever happens again. now that i am 2 weeks behind i have to start to hustle on this project befor it gets toooooo cold outside. and thanks again for all the help.
