Slowly but surely, progress is being made. After tackling the front suspension, and working very hard and getting very dirty, I decided to attack the interior which was a mess.
I removed everything. I cleaned all the parts I could salvage and refinished with an interior dye from a local paint supply company. WOW. It turned out better than I hoped. The pieces look brand new. (Interior was originally blue, dyed white, painted black with spray paint ) It is now black, but done like it should have been done. (Thanks bubba)
I need to get new door panels and carpet. I'm playing around with different color combos. I'd like to incorporate a little red since the exterior is red. I've done the shifter **** and the center on the steering wheel. I'm not sure about it yet and may change it back. I've also played around with adding red to the doors since these are not keepers. I really don't know about that. But I would like to do something other than 100% black. This will never be a collectable, so I don't need to worry about keeping it original.
What do you guys think?

4th)Two door panels, the right with a red strip
5th)Right side door panel alone
Right side as in ....right side of the picture.....but it's the driver side panel with the red strip

I'm not sure why everyone can't see, but the more I look at them myself, the more I won't be doing the red on the door. I was looking for thoughts from you guys, but my own thoughts are .... Don't do it!
I do kinda like the shifter and the steering wheel. Any other ideas on how to "Tastefully" incorporate red?
I have to agree with you about the red on the door panel, not sure how that would look with the complete interior. I do like the shifter and steering wheel.
