Default clutch question

I have a 400 small block with an auto tranny. If I put the engine in my 4 speed 76 can I use the same flywheel, clutch and pressure plate or is it a different size?

You will need a 400 flywheel if your engine is externally balanced. All stock 400s are external. As far as the pressure plate and disc ifthe flywheel is drilled for the size pressure plate you should be OK. If you use the wrong flywheel you will have a very bad vibration.

I haven't tried them, but for $15, you can use your flywheel with the item below.

You can take the flywheel from the 350 and get it balanced at a machine shop to match the weighting of the flexplate off of the 400. As long as the flywheel and flexplate are balanced the same there will be no problem.
