Im not going to sacrifice the art or performance of my car for a BYLAW. Thanks for your concern though.
If that’s what you want to believe you better stay away from Toronto and surrounding areas. The police departments have two programs dedicated to modified cars, PACER and ERACE.
PACER is the educational program (if it's not stock you are educated that it is illegal)
ERACE is the enforcement part, they pull over as many modified cars as they can leaving a show or going to the track (Cayuga) and give them as many BS tickets as possible.
I have taken two plate in window tickets and one noise pollution ticket to court and all my cars are registered in the street racing database because they where seen at a timmies parking lot where known street racers hangout. I also narrowly avoided some serious $450+ fins when the ERACE program block in a parking lot and brought in the MTO (sniffer trucks).
A good friend of mine carries a copy of the HTA with him for a good reason, to avoid getting BS tickets (he drives a loud slammed 86 Grand Prix).
Although it may seem the cops arrant after the domestics as much, that’s only because not many Domestic people do visual mods as extreme as imports guys do otherwise it would be equal in harassment.

Yea Ive had trouble in Vancouver when running with the ricers, but Ive been down other times with a suped 89 Mustang, slammed, kit, blower, straight pipes....no problem RIGHT down town. Im not going to be an E tard with my car guys, Ill be careful, but Im not going to allow the oppressors to keep me down!! CAUSE I HAVE A DREAM!! A Dream that one day ALL CARS will be treated equal, NOT based on the extent of modification but on Their STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY!!

yup....and i asked the cop about putting it in the front windshield and they can get you on that...something about the wording being
the plate must be in a clearly visible and unobstructed view...so that did not work for me...but they were looking for me anyway..someone had called in a noise complaint i beleive...

If you go to vanacorvette.com they sell a 80-82 front bumper thats fiberglass and has the plate area cut out. It's worth looking into.
