Pulley alignment issues.....

Pulley alignment issues.....
Ok, I'm at a loss here.....looking for suggestions.
Ok - New 383 stroker installed.
Using stock pulleys.
Power steering lines up perfect. Used straight edge to verify.
Water Pump is off. Edlebrock 8810 pump. I measure 5 3/4" and web site says it's suppose to be 5 5/8".
Original pump measures 5 5/8".
I don't think I can live with 1/8" - can I?
Ideas?

Ok, re-measured the new water pump and it is 5 5/8" like it should be but I'm still 1/8" off from the crank. 
Ok, if the PS lines up what's wrong?
If the HB was 1/8" further out I would have thought it would have makde the PS 1/8" off....?
Thoughts?

I don't think that 1/8 is gonna be that critical. Hopefully someone else will chime in and give some more advice.

Pulley alignment is critical for long wear and without problems. Even if you use the proper HB installation tool and mount it correctly there can be a misalignment. Jeg's sells a water pump shim kit that might solve your problem.
