Hello I am searching through many corvettes looking for a garage mate for my 69. I was just wondering what the value of a 1968 convertible would be. 6 year old paint in original color, perfect interior, new tires. The car is a matching numbers 427/390 with a 4 speed. It is a convertible and has both tops as well. 70k Miles as well. Thanks for the help!

The new paint is the only thing that takes away from it a bit in the form of originality.
Yet, a nice car in good shape as you describe....pending on rust etc. etc.etc......original parts or modified suspension etc. (modifications decrease the value, but increase the driving experience)
I checked this program that does values for vettes and it came up with between $22,174 for a car in very good condition to $29, 320 for a restored vehicle with #'s matching, 427 - 4 speed and 2 tops. Does the car have A/C? This program is fairly accurate as it was within less than $100 when I checked my car against it and within $300 when I checked 2 of my buddies car against it. My .02

What program is that? All of the value estimation guides I have experience with (Blue Book, etc.) overvalue these cars by a considerable amount. $22K to $29K seems dead-on to me though for the current street market for the car.
The program I have is called "VetteSet - Sortware for Corvette Enthusiasts". I got this off the net about a year ago and used it extensively when I was searching for my vette. It seemed to be right on the money when I compared numerous cars and when I actually purchased my vette the difference in purchase price vs. the program's value estimate was $7.00 (I overpaid by that much!!!) It ws very helpful when looking for my car. I don't know if there is any way to put it on the forum but if anyone would like a copy I could try to e-mail it to them.

I just came back into this forum today following a couple of year absence. Thanks to everyone for the kind comments regarding my program. No gimmicks! Absolutely free! After developing the software I found that GM wanted big bucks for a trademark license plus big bucks for projected annual sales. So . . . I gave it away to fellow Corvette lovers. BTW, a newer version (updated December 2003) is now available at:
