I have been a member here since 01 and this FIRST forum post will be to say that I have purchased my very first corvette.
The car is to be shipped in the next 24 hours and should be at my house sometime next week. It is a yellow 1968 convertible and I think the car is just super.
I picked up the vette a few years before I really meant to, but this car met so many of my requirements that I couldn't help but take the plunge. I had learned, through the various project cars that I have had, that I needed to find someone who had already completed the project and had done essentially everything to the car that I would have done. So, when I saw this car........
I was hoping to post some pictures to share with the forum, but don't see a way to do that. On my screen under 'posting rules' is "You may not post attachments". Any thoughts on how I might post some pictures?
I look forward to learning a great deal from the folks here.
Warm Regards,
Bryan Lewis

Sounds like it must be a pretty nice car if it made you take the plunge 2 years before you were ready. Good luck and I hope it is all you wanted it to be. Don't be so shy the next 3 years. Ask a bunch of questions and feel free to post about the new ride.
COMMANDER370 - No doubt! I plan on doing little to the car, but have considered side pipes. There have been some absolutely beautiful pictures of cars on here running them.
NHvette - Thanks for the school lesson on posting. I believe I have it now.
Thank you everyone for the kind words on the car. Makes me feel better and better about my decision to purchase earlier than expected. It's a bit funny, but at 35 years old I do feel rather giddy about taking delivery of the car next week. I might even burn a day or two of vacation to get acquainted with her.
One of the things that cinched the deal for me was the dyno chart for the motor; a motor that made really good power on pump gas with no turbos/superchargers to fandangle things.
If there is interest, I will pull the scanner from my upstairs storage and get the dyno sheet posted.
