One of the instrument gage lights on my 69 is not working. Have power going to the socket but when I put a bulb in it doest't work. Bulb is good and even tried putting some foil in to tighten contact area. Any opinions? F****d with for a couple of hours with no results. Thanks
I had similar problems and here is how I am in the middle of doing mine.
I had some of my instrument panel light bulbs missing and some I thought were burnt on my 1979. When I took the panel out, I noticed that the ones I thought were burnt were not. The problem was with the printed circuit connectors. It has blown the connection to those bulbs. In order to fix those connections, a friend of mine suggested I buy a kit that is used to repair rear window defogger. It is liquid copper. It is easy to use. It worked very good. It took care of the problem. While you are there, it is not a bad idea to replace all bulbs with new ones. I hope this can help.
Good luck!!
ps. Change the sockets also.

Can you explain further what you mean by "printed cicuit connectors"? Where are they located, etc. A couple of my lights don't work in my center gauge cluster on my '70 and I'd like to fix this, too.
you don't have printed circuit connectors on a 69. The sockets the bulbs go into provide the power. If you have 12v + going to the socket you either have a bad bulb or a bad ground. The socket itself provides the ground. I'd clean the contact area and try it again.

What would be the cause of all the lights not working. I changed a blown fuse and it keeps blowing them.
You have a short. You can try removing all the bulbs and putting them back one at a time, but I'll bet you have one that is broken and touching a ground. Either that or a wire melted somewhere.
