Default Winter coolant issue

I am storing my 80 for the winter. I recently rebuilt the motor, and was getting it running when the wiring harness fragged and now she is dead in the water until I replace it. my problem is I only have straight water in the block right now. How can I get antifreeze in there without it running so it wont freeze?

thanks

You could drain the block. There is a plug at the bottom of the block near where the oil pan bolts, right in the center. Remove this plug and all the water in the block and heads will be drained.

Default Just drain the block!

Hey, why dont you just drain the block and leave it empty, there are drain plugs on each side of the block just above the oil pan about midways front to rear and then drain the radiator. they are usually stuck and need some persuasion to get 'em out. Or ,,,,,,,,,,you could park it in a heated garage Peace,,,,,,,,,,,,,Craig

On an 80 just disconnect the rest of the car wiring harness at the starter. Run 12v to the distributor. Start with a screwdriver or jumper wire at the starter. Run long enough to circulate antifreeze.
