Scissors Lift
Does anyone have/use a scissors lift to work on their cars? If so what brand and lifting height do you have?
I don't believe I need a two post lift and a four post lift does not allow for easy access to the wheels, brakes, etc. plus I don't want to modify my garage ceiling.

I saw this not too long ago, looks like a great alternative.
It also allows you to work on the wheels/brakes (if you purchase an extra part). No modification to the ceiling, either.
About $1000 and change..

A split deck trailer almost gives you the same thing, plus you can tow a car...
I say almost because generally they have support beams that make it a little tougher to drop a transmission.
I paid under $1300 for my trailer a few months ago... and I've already used it as a lift and for towing stuff.
