Trim 400 973 Paint

Chevrolet B29
Trim 400 973 Paint
400 was used 1970-'74.
There was no "973" either for '69. 973 is a 1971/'72 color code for Millie Miglia Red, so this tag is from a '71/'72 Corvette.
"B" stood for September, 2nd month of production for whichever year that car that this tag came from, so it'd be either September 29, 1970(for the '71 car, if it was) OR September 29, 1971 if it came off of a '72 car.
You'd just be better off having a tag made for your car from like trimtags.com that would correlate "your" interior, the color "you" wanted to paint the car, and a build date according to your cars "VIN #"
By your VIN #, it can be pretty much deciphered near to the day it was built, then you'd have a tag "correct" for your car. If you were to ever put this tag in your car and go to sell it, a lot of red flags could come up. People would wonder if it was a salvage car, stolen car, parted car from several cars. I'd just get a "new" tag that'd be proper for "your" car.
