Maybe you'd be so kind as to come over and read it to me with your vastly superior intelect. I came here for advice not sarcasm and put downs. At least one or two of the people here were helpful, you, your just another example of why I don't like people anymore.

I shouldn't have let myself get sucked it by an infantile remark like that, but I expected better.
Anyway thank you to the people who made helpful replies, Twin Turbo in particular. I have an additional question, would it help if i stripped the paint before trying to cut it lose?

I have a hard time figuring out why this new guy is getting a hard time, what did he do, did I miss something???
Well, I guess I learned something today.
TT's comments and the C1/C2 post are all good guides.
Definitely pull the headlight assemblies ... and all the bumper components.
I left my radiator support in place and removed the inner
fenders with the clip. This keeps it more stable, plus gives
something solid to grab onto.
Here are some photos of the front coming off my 75 donor.
Notice the firewall had already come off the birdcage, and
the windshield frame is out.

The tough part may be getting the mounts that are rivetted
to the lower WS frame. These are under the back upper corner.
You can see them in my pictures ... after removed.
I left the strip intact that runs across the firewall. This is
because I was moving the clip to another car. If re-using the
same clip, cut the thin strip at each end and leave the center
attached to the firewall.
Good Luck
EVERYONE should care about. He spent a good part of his life working
on Saginaw steering systems ... those used in our vettes.
The knowledge that Jim possesses cannot be replaced. The forum needs
him just as much as it needs newbies to fuel the advertising campaign.
What good is a free forum that has no useful knowledge ?
Jims complaint is that he needs to sort through many messages that
are seemingly not steering related ... but actually are. What I hear is
that he wants to help and guide people - but it is getting difficult to do.
Carl, you have also posted much useful information.
I must agree with you ... crossposting to that thread does not
pertain to this topic.

No reason to explain.
I just wanted people popping into that link to understand
who Jim is. You and I signed up here in the same month.
I'm surprised that you haven't read many of Jim's replies.
He tries to help anyone with steering questions ...
from the box ratio to setup of zero lash to why doesn't my blinker shut
off and which rag joint. Go to corvettefaq.com and click on "steering".
It's all pretty much Jim's stuff ... and a few other documents.
I didn't mean to imply that you were disrespectful.
I admire your vette and everything that you've done with it.
Someday, my 70/75 hybrid may be half as nice as your 73.

a dog house was either, still not sure, and it did sound like a joke to me.
its kinda like how you say it, that will get comments like that, but its
all in fun. this is a great forum.
Confusious say wife who put husband in doghouse soon find him in cathouse.
Confusious say: "He who sleeps in middle of highway wakes up with run down feeling".
Welcome to the forum, Crank.
