Well it is time to change my spark plugs and I managed to get all but two changed out. Now these last two I don't think I can get them off with out taking the header off . Take a look it is the two outer plugs.
The one in the back I can't even get the boot off. Do you guys have any tips or things not to do when taking the header off? Thanks in advance.

I can't believe that boot on the end which can't come off, didn't just burn off. But once you do get the boot off, try using an offset box wrench from underneath.

Yea i know its really tight back there... I will have to try the offset wrench idea, that may work. thanks for the idea.
I just went through this. I got an old 1/2 inch drive 5/8 inch short socket and ground two flats on it so I could put an open end wrench on it. Slip the socket over the plug so the tip sticks through the opening and then turn it with an open end. Once it's a little loose you can remove it with your fingers the rest of the way. Installation is the reverse.
I had the same Idea as vettfixr - I think sears had a socket where you could use and open end wrench on it - I',m sure I saw that here at the forum by chance ?

What I did:
Try removing the rubber boot inside of a spark plug socket. It allows flexibility in the socket and you can use the socket at more of an angle.
If not geta torch and make your own offset wrench.
I found on the snap on Canadian website a socket for this - you could use this as an idea and build your own version-
Socket, Spark Plug, Retaining Ring, 7/8" external hex, 7/8", 6-Point

vettfixr and RATT7 i was using a socket with the end for a wrench on it.. but it was just to much of an angle to get it on the plug. i think part of the problem is that the way the heads are the plug oles don't line up with the notches in the flange on the header. im thinking that i have to drop the header becouse of that back plug that is really close to the tube.
68coupe The rubber thing in the socket had already been removed previously.
from what i can see it wont be to bad to take the header off. its just 4 bolts so not to bad. im going to have to find a new gasket for it but that won't be bad.
