One Piece Top question?
I have a friend here that just picked up a 78, and he was wanting to see if he could find out some info, or feedback on the one piece/t-top replacements. Most catalog companies seem to carry them. I think the one he is looking at is from Thompson Astro Tops.
Has anyone used them before? Good/bad feedback on them?

Installation is ok, but the plastic brackets don't last too long if you take it off and put it back on very often....
It's great when it's installed, 2-3" more headroom and you can look at the stars while driving at night
I did not like the way it looked on my red car.... I think it looks great on a black car...

Just about everyone I've talked to at shows that had one liked it. But I never saw them take the tops off their cars and when I asked them they said they leave it on all the time. I've seen how they attach and it leaves a lot to be desired. If I were going to get new tops for my car I would get Astro's two piece tops with the original attaching hardware rather than the one piece. JMHO
