Try pulling the radiator and shroud as one unit.

What is supposed to be bad about Comp Cams? I'd like to know sice it's a CC cutstom that I'll be using. (In whatever motor I end up with )

I agree, I have built many many engines over the last 35 years and have never had a cam wipe a lobe out. I think this problem is all hipe and more to do with install and break in procedures, IMHO
