How big a deal is it to replace the fan? The current fan that came on the car appears to be to large for the shroud and rubs. Its gotten to the point were I can no longer tolerate it. Im also having trouble finding out what size fan came stock.
Thanks.
Not difficult. Four bolts and it's off. Little hard to get to the bolts, but I found that the racheting type box-end wrenches work really well for this particular application (good excuse to buy a set, if you don't already own them--best tools I own, IMHO).

If your fan is rubbing, it's probably not because it's the wrong size - you probably have some other issue going on that needs to be fixed. Look for bad engine mounts and bad radiator support mounts. The shroud itself may also have a problem that is causing it to rub on the fan. Better check things out before band-aiding it with an under-sized fan, unless, of course, somebody has actually installed an over-sized aftermarket fan..
