Just use the same flywheel as your 350 and voila!
400 and 350 blocks (all small blocks for that matter) are basically the same. Flywheels are interchangeable too if you also use same starter. That is why GM made em. Parts is parts.
All Small block flywheels with a two piece rear main seal have the same bolt pattern and inner hub dia.. Big block, bolt pattern and center hub is also the same but some big block flywheels won't clear the elipitical shape on the small block crank.(big block rear crank hub is round). The "crate motor" one piece rear main seal uses a completely different flywheel.

Will an in-line bolt pattern mini starter work?

can you use a flash light and see if you have the mounting holes for a mini starter on the bottom of your block....they are about 4 " apart and they would both be parallel to the flywheel...not offset like yours...one of the previous posts has apicture of the bolt holes one is for a 153 tooth and one is for 168 tooth...when i get back in town i will look at the 350 i just pulled out and see if it has bolt holes for the staggerd starter as well as the other starter.... not sure if this helps....maybe buy the starter locally so you can take it back...

A SBC 400 is externally balanced 350's are internally balanced. If you put a 400 flywheel on a 350 or vice versa you will destroy the bottom end of the motor if you can let it run long enough with the vibration it will cause. As far as fitting, in-line 6 cylinders (250,292 ect..) also use the same flywheel and starters as a 350.
Look under your block to locate 3 holes...if you have 3 holes...2 holes which are about 4 inches apart and inline with each other..a standard mini starter should work. My block has 3 holes..but my original starter was staggerred holes.
Thanks for the pic. I haven't had a chance to climb underneath this weekend, but...I did find a "staggered" mini-starter which should be delivered by Tues.
