Okay, I know there's a ton of choices for spark plugs, so I'd like to get your feedback on what plugs you've used and like. Here's my setup:
- L46 (350/350)
- Pertronix Ignitor II
- Pertronix Flamethrower II coil
- 8mm wires
I use my car for a driver (not racing), although I do occasionally like to get on it from stoplight to stoplight.
AC Delco: I don't like the black oxide. Seems they rust quite a bit after a year or so.
Bosch: Hate the screw-on insulator tip. Always comes loose.
Champion: Good plug. Solid tip (not screw on) and they are (I believe) zink coated so they don't rust.
NGK: Same pros as Champion. For some reason my 454 loves the NGK FR45's so that's what I run. Note: FR45 won't work on stock heads. I have aftermarket heads.
Autolite are my first choice. After that I would run AC or Champion. I have never seen any benefit from a fancy plug personaly. The Autolites last longer without fouling in my experience. Probably has a wider heat range I guess.
