I flipped it on this morning... they were talking about a 442 going for 65-70k!
The sum of its parts DONT equal anything near that... I just cant see doing that. Thats a whole lot of labor to get anywhere near that price tag in my mind.
Parts cost + labor = car cost for me to build it... Then again I tally it up and "pay" myself 8.50 an hour!
You have to rich to buy at BJ, so you don't feel bad about paying a rediculous over rated price, plus BJ mark up. The prices at that auction are crazy, It make me mad when Mr.Jackson or the Speed Channel says that the market prices are set by them. 80,000 for a C-2 (unless its special) came from two rich guy trying to out-bid each other and get on the Speed Channel. That's not how prices are set.
Thats a rerun of the January 2004 auction in Scottsdale. The 2005 auction will be on Speed TV starting January 26th

they almost tricked me too! I saw it on TV and thought it was a little early for the BJ auction. Went to their website and figured out it was a rerun.... stupid trick, really.
I like watching their auctions, but I CANNOT STAND to listen to those guys comment and they have no clue what they are talking about...I'll just watch it in mute this year.
