Glad to see 'em win, but the bigger news is how Texas Tech spanked #4 California. Surprised everyone except Tech's other opponents this season - they knew that 500+ yards through the air was not just possible but expected. I guess the biggest question is, "what the heck happened to the Aggies?"
Great game; two outstanding teams. Instead of giving the Texas coach more money and new contract they should pay the Texas kicker that won the game under extreme pressure! And yes, L88Plus, congrats to Texas Tech over California also; two more great teams. --Texas Tech Grad.
That score sure was close. Made all the alumni squirm till the very end. That Texas QB reminds me of a certain guy playing now with the Atlanta Falcons. Speaking of Atlanta, Go Braves in '05.
If Michigan would have tackled that darn QB or played any kind of defense in the second half, they would have won big. I think the whole Michigan defensive line was still recovering from New Year's Eve.
God, I can't take this crappy D of ours any longer. How the Hell do you contine to give up this kind of yardage and points game-after-game with the talent UM has? 2 consensus All-Americans on the D, the best Sophomore NFL prospect in the NCAA (Woodley at LB) per Kiper, a top 15 first round pick on the D-Line (Gabe Watson) and HS All-Americans at every other position on the D???
This is what drives UM fans (like myself) crazy over the past several years...the Offense is great, but it usually comes down to relying on the D to make a critical stop, which they can't. How our Defensive Coordinator (Hermann) still has a job is anyone's guess.
Just to rub salt in the wound, I'll be cutting the check to renew my season tickets for next year...I'm a glutton for punishment
Michigan's defense looked really winded in the 4th quarter. but i think Texas had the ball a lot more in that game. maybe, just wore 'em down.
One of the announcers on the broadcast that I was listening to stated that Michigan had given up a huge number of points in the fourth quarter all season = poor conditioning or shallow bench.
I bleed maize and Blue. it was definitely a great entertaining game between 2 premier college football institutions. am dumbfonded at the pathetic tackling on the part of U of M. the defense looked like they were still playing the ohio state game. PITIFUL
