Default Help with Wheel Fitment

Can anyone tell me what dimensions wheels will fit on a '68 Corvette?
I am looking at the following wheels:
http://www.americanracing.com/wheels...ted&section=P#
And there are options for things like "offset, backside, and bolt circle".
I am not really sure what these things mean, or what the correct combinations are that would fit on my car.

Thanks for your help.

Standard GM bolt circle, 5x4.75", backspacing is 4". Stock wheels were 15x8 I think.

You can use 16x8's and 17x8's with 4" backspacing.

The wheels he's looking at are high offset and will require large spacer/adapters. 3 inches or so...

Stock vettes have 4 3/4 bolt circle, 15x8 wheels with 4" back spacing, and zero offset. (68's might have 15x7, but 15x8 will fit). The problem with many aftermarket wheels is even with proper dimensions, they hit the calipers. You should do a search on this forum because this has been covered a lot, and I don't remember what came out of it. Joe
PS-the weels you picked are for FWD cars - you'll need an adapter from VBP or someone. Joe

Thanks for the info.
Looks like those wheels won't fit.
Backspacing on all of them is 5 3/4 or 5 3/8.
