Just in case you are interested in alternatives, FLAMING RIVER is coming out with a bolt-in rack and pinion system for 63-82 Corvettes. Don't know any details but I know they make good stuff.

yah maybe, I wanted the 5 speed when we did the group buy, but the price really did not come down
