When I worked in the shipyard many moons ago we had a saying. A little putty and paint will make it what it ain't. In the case of an engine compartment. A good cleaning, paint the engine where you can with-in reason and go for some crome. Plenty of crome parts are availabel from all kind os sources. Some say the more the better. Take a look at some of the pictures posted on the forum. That'll give you some ideas.
Alot of patience, blood, sweat & tears...took me close to 2 years of cleaning, chroming, replacing and etc to get this far...and still everytime I look at it, I find "more" things I could do to it....That's what makes it fun! Good Luck....
I dont think cleaning the engine cmpart meant is that hard. Im doing it with a lift i think that kinds makes it easier too becuase im also doing the frame.
