Vote under other so you'll be in the drawing.

Come on you guys, we need to let the magazine people know we are still here. I'm pretty sure there are more than 166 people in the C4 section that read Corvette magazines. Let us know what you are reading and you could win a really cool prize bag.

Thanks,
Dave
Hopefully they are all out enjoying their cars!

Corvette Magazine a good rag. I also like the fact the magazine comes every 2 months. Gives me plenty of time to read.

I too must read them and decide which one(s) I'll subscribe to, so I had to pick "other".

Someone is going to get a bunch of neat stuff. So far the following companies and added items to the bag;

R-D Racing
Corvette Enthusiast
Mid-America Motorworks

For the drawing, I'm going to list everyone's id that polled on a list with a number, then I will email a copy of the list to someone else on the Forum before asking a third party to pick a number for the winner. We'll aim for having the drawing on the 15th. That'll give any other vendors that are interested in the C4 group a chance to get a hold of me with some more goodys.

Thanks,
Dave
I received an interesting email from the editor of Vette Magazine last night. It was kind of personal, so I won't share it, but they are sending something for the goody bag as well.

I have been a subscriber to Corvette Fever and Vette magazine for the past 10 years, and have every issue from each of them over that timeframe. That is the same amount of time I have owned my '92. Just this month I have let both subscriptions die. Both of these circulations are for crap now, and have been for probably 3 or 4 years.

There used to be a time when I would read those mags from cover to cover, and it would take me a couple of evening to do it. Now I just leaf thru it in 15 minutes or so, and am done with it. Pretty sad indeed.

I have not seen CE or Corvette Magazine, but would be interested in viewing both as an alternative to these other 2 rags. Will definitely check them out when I see them.

I subscribe to both CE and Corvette Magazine and have done so since they started. In fact I picked up a copy of Cars & Parts Corvette (Corvette Enthusiast's predecessor) when it first came out and had a letter to the editor published in the second issue so I guess you could say I'm a charter subscriber.

I will admit that when CPC changed its name and format I was not particularly pleased at first, but now I think it is one of the better mags. CM is also a class act although its not very deep on how to's. As for Corvette Fever and Vette, I'll pick them up if there is something of interest in them.

I own a '69 and subcribed to Shark Quarterly during its five year run and have every issue but the first. I am currently looking for a C4 and would love to find a magazine dedicated to these cars.

Vette and Fever for me. I think all of the vette magazines do a good job for the casual "throne readers" like myself. I did subscribe to CE once and it just didn't appeal to me. Seemed "behind the times". But that is just me.

It looks like we'll draw 2 names from the members that polled. One of the magazines mentioned sent 2 prizes of the same thing.

Thanks to everyone so far for your feedback.

I haven't subscribed to any yet. Thanks for running this thread, it has me leaning toward CE and corvette magazine. I am looking for C4 and in particular ZR-1 articles.

I had a subscription to Corvette Fever for 10 years, 2 years of that were before I could drive. I got tired of all the misprints (just wrong facts) and the dramatic shift to C5 on top of tech articles that have complete BS results. Refuse to buy, period.

Vette is not much better from what I have seen. Same as CF, I refuse to buy.

CE I have picked up at the news stand, and it is better. May subscribe eventually.

I currently have a subscription to Corvette Fever Magazine that I renew every August at the Covettes of Carlisle Show. With your subscription at the show you get a different Corvette T-shirt each year. Really the main reason for purchasing a subscription is they have become a valuable resource for modification I have done on my own vehicle.

Note that if you become a preferred subscriber to Corvette Enthusiast, you get a small discount on the subscription and a free ad in the magazine. There are a few other benefits, but I misplaced the letter I got from Andy.

I'm reading the current issue of CE right now and they are talking about rebuilding alternators, doing a C4 for drag racing,a whole article dedicated to crate engines(for you early C4 guys and earlier mainly),carburetor tuning(who else would do that today?),lots of tech articles for mid years and of course C6 stuff(they'd have to be crazy not to).

After reading this issue, CE gets my vote for top magazine with Corvette Magazine a close second.
