Default How do I....?

...get the plastic grill piece out that's waaaaay up front and center on the dash - right by the windshield - that has that little black dome in the center? I dropped a suction cup down in there from my radar detector bracket, and now the little s.o.b. is starting to vibrate, so it must come out!

Well first you have to pull your seats, so you can then pull the center console out. After that, it is a piece of cake to get the dash cluster and info center out. Once that is done you simply take the rear cargo mat out to get to the storage compartments. With those all out you can then remove the top dash pad, with fuse holders, and ecm. Then it is just a matter of fishing in there for the piece you want to remove. Ok, so maybe I am not sure how to answer your question. If it were me, I would buy a book. Sorry, no help here, other then a ttt for you. Randy

I'm no expert on the removal of things, but it sounds like it (suction cup) has landed on something if it's vibrating now. I would try a good ol' piece of duct tape on a piece of wire to fish around in the vent. The suction cup should stick to the adhesive on the tape. Beats the heck out tearing into the dash.

A little vibration is good if it is used in the right spot

You have to pry up from the bottom of the grill. That would be the part closest to you, naturally. A small screw driver will do. The black bulb is the solar something or other. That grill is pretty flimsy & sometimes difficult to get to lock when replacing. That must have been a small suction cup.
