Default C4 BBC headers

Does anyone know where I could find a set of BBC headers for the C4.

I am considering going over the edge.....I have a complete 454+30 Solid roller, forged 12.5, square port heads w/2.30 intake 1.88 exhaust etc etc. T400 with HD sprag, Trans Brake etc etc. Its distination was to be my malibu. But the damn vette keeps staring at me. I don't know what i am going to do, just considering the radical change.

Anyone know about the BBC c4 headers or do you think I have finally snapped?

Which reminds me, is there a cure or even apatch for this POWER crazed addiction?

There is a cure... It's called twin turbos on a stroked SBC. Is it even possible to fit a BBC in the C4 engine bay?? Man what a squeeze. Not to mention you'd be way front heavy.

Having said all that, it would be a BLAST to drive!! go for it, but I think custom headers are in your future...

The weight is not as bad as you might think. The BBC only has around 200 more lbs. It will fit, I have seen a couple of them over the years. Turbo would be cool, but I love Cubic inches.

I hate having someone do any work to my cars. It is hard to find someone who works as hard or honest as I do on them. I noticed once a post about a guy with LPE BBC headers. But so far I have not found them.

200 lbs for block only or is that the whole package pan to intake? That would really suprise me. I know that the spring rates on early corvettes were different for BB and SB cars by a few hundred pounds. LPE = $$$. You could get some custom stepped headers done in stainless for what they'll charge you I'm sure...

There is no substitute for cu in..

THe SBC complete was around 600 and the BBC was approx 800lbs. When I ran a SBC in my race car it weighed 2860 with a SBC. When I made the switch it went up to 3080. There were a few other changes, don't remember exactally what they were, but mostly a motor change. The car was heavier in the front. The ride height was much lower, around 2 inches.

That may be a problem if I roaded it lot. But I hardly ever drive it anyway. I have seen a ton of street/strip cars etc. But Nothing and I mean nothing looks better than a Corvette all done up to be a pounder.

Granted I am a little attached to the Corvette. Just a little....
