Computer Problems?
dead and had to be jumped. While driving it afterwards, the
speedometer began to jump randomly and the auto-trans started
having trouble locking into gear.
Has anyone had this problem? Could it be the computer?
If so, what did it cost to reprogram or replace it and did a dealer
have to do it?
Also, any good Vette shops I should know about in Las Vegas?

Good Luck,

engine runs like a top- it's just been tuned up and new belts.
There was no short that drained it on the truck, and there
has been no power drain of any kind since. I think the driver
left something on inside it. Anyway, it jumped and charged itself
back up completely.
The trans was also just serviced and has no leaks and fresh fluid.
After as much 15 or as little as 5 minutes, these 2 problems begin
simultaneously. Disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes and
then reconnecting will reboot the computer, and that only bought
me 20 minutes before it started acting up.
The computer is the only common link between the trans and the
speedometer. Before the problem kicks in, it's great. After, it has
trouble getting into gear. The speedometer won't work at all unless
you do the reboot. another hint it's the computer.
Could the voltage drain and the heat in the closed truck have fried
the computer?
Ideas?
