Fuel (Sensor) Problem?
I've been driving my 85' Coupe fairly regular on out of town trips towards the end of this summer. I drove 250 miles to the beach on business Sunday, stopping once at around 175 miles for a breather. I stopped at my final destination and sat for 5 hours. When I went to leave, it started but idle is TERRIBLE. It lopesfor a few moments then stalls out, the check engine light blinked in time with the lopes. I let it sit in the same spot for 2 days now with the same results each time I tried cranking her up. I can give small amounts of gas to keep it running but it still lopes along eventually dying. I've tried 2 bottles of Dry Gas, testing for spark and reconnecting my plug wires, removed MAS air hose, pulled fuses, added oil, ECT..
I replaced the Fuel Pump and Filter less then 15k ago but bought another Filter for when I can find a way to get under the car.
I just went out and managed to limp around the block with one foot on the gas and one on the break for 10 miles and noticed that none of my gas related instruments work correctly. The gas level was maxed as is my avg miles per gallon reading (99). I added another 10gals of Exxon Premium just in case. The check engine light istays ON of course. When I short A-B for a code the AC fan kicks ON but no code flashes (not even 12).
Has anyone experienced similar?
