Anyone had any experience dealing with them? How was the service? I'm looking to by my magnaflows from them and I just want to do my homework first. Be gentle, its my first mod.

Magnaflows? Are you serious? Are you crazy? What does that say on/under your avatar?

What are you thinking? Are you thinking?

Be gentle? On who? You? You're nuts.

Not only is your hearing gonna go, so will your scrambled brains!

Are you listening, can you still read?

Good luck with the Magnaflows.

PS If you don't like them, you can always donate them to your one and only critic...,me?

I bought a set of Magnaflows from them. Their service and delivery were excellent!

The Magnaflows however drove me crazy with their resonance while cruising at low rpm's, about 1800-2300 if I remember correctly. My wife and a good friend couldn't even ride in the car with me. I tried everything in the book, complete to under carpet noise insulation. Nothing helped.

Sold the Magnaflows and bought a Corsa cat back.

with a full complement of engine mods and long tube headers, i love my magnaflows. at times it seems a bit loud in the lower rpm band while slow cruising (even with a 6 speed, which gives you alot more control than an auto), but it definitely kicks azz.

be sure you get the stainless steel version, more than well worth the money

by the way, i didn't get my magnaflow catback from performancepeddler, but i did purchase a magaflow main cat from them.......as other have said they have great service, prices and ship fast.....be sure to talk to Brad.

go to www.magnaflowonline.com... E-mail steve and tell him Robert (bluewasp) sent you. E-mail him the part number and the lowest price you've found and I know he can do better.

good luck

I had excellent service from performancepeddler.com. Mention that you are a Corvetter Forum member and you will get a discount (I paid $74 vs. $79 for my Flowmaster Super 40s). Free shipping too.

I bought a set of Magnaflows from Performance Peddler for my 86 and I love them. Awesome looks and, for me, absolutely no resonance. I see you have a 95 so it may be totally different for your setup, but I highly recommend them.

What he said...

Tell him you are a forum member. You should get them for $350 (or less) shipped. I like to hear my Vette and for me a little resonance is not an issue. For the price, nothing compares in quality & sound...

Get 'em!

Michael please consider Corsa's everyone seems to like them and a lot less resonance. If you would drive a car with them(Magnaflows) you will hear it and I bet Mrs. Nightmare won't like it.While your at it think about the entire catback system.Even though stock LT1's exhaust flows well what I read here says Corsa catback is the way to go.Anybody disagree?

Red, I've gone back and forth between corsas and magnaflows ever since I got the car. Truth be told I want the manaflows because I want my car to sound like it has a V8 in it. Now granted, I've not heard the power pulse system, (there was a C4 at Skyline with them, but I never found the owner so I couldn't hear them), but I did hear the magnaflows. And I liked the way it sounds. I grew up riding around in my dad's 67 mustang fastback with glasspacks on it. Resonance means nothing to me! But I am concerned about my wife's hearing. She is my cruising partner and it would take alot of fun out of it if she couldn't ride with me anymore because of the resonance. I respect your opinion Red, always have because you've never steered me wrong, and even though I'm still leaning towards the magnaflows, I will give the Corsas some more thought. Thanks Pal.

Michael, in my case having the GF in the car is what ruins the experience in the first place.

I can't nail it 6,000 rpms and lay it down WOT thru 4 gears the way its supposed to be driven, while she's in the car. Therefore, I'm banished to driving it like I'm going to church. That is not why I bought this thing and modified it to begin with. So with my setup, noise and all, I get to be in eternal bliss, a la solo

If you've got a wife to deal with, you might want to reconsider everything. If she doesn't like her head slammed into the seat with a rush of acceleration and ballz to the wall exhaust, most everywhere you go, you may have a problem.

I'm going to put this out there, and no doubt get canned over it......but its my true humble opinion that having a car like this, fully modified, is mainly for men to play. Most women do not like it, at the very least, could care less. Hopefully your wife is open to a dramatic change in the character of your vette

p.s. I don't in any mean to be insulting or negative, just being straight with what to expect. I hope in my heart of hearts that you get that thing jacked-up and screaming

Check out http://www.hottexhaust.com make sure you use the coupon code: stangnet. I realize it has nothing to do with corvettes but it gives you the biggest discount. Also when I bought mine shipping was free.

The exhaust (my 1st mod) took a little getting used for Lisa. I loved it from the start. Even though mine is not heavily modified, it is still not the quiet, very streetable daily driver it once was. Of course, I am the only one who is revelling in the change , Lisa is not as enthusiatic BUT she's coming along...

Default I Love My Magnaflows

Michael:

I put Magnaflows (from Performance Peddler) on my '90 convertible in the spring of 2004. I ordered by phone and the box arrived as advertised within a few days. All parts were there.

The sound and look what I was looking for and there is no resonance. I clean them with Brasso. My wife likes the sound as well. We can carry on a conversation either driving around town or on the highway.

I talked to my wife about it and she said "So what? Order them, this resonance you keep talking about can't be any worse then the music you're always blasting!"

Place my order 10 minutes later and they should arrive at the shop on Monday! I love my wife!
