I have been checking out some of the cars for sale on the various sites. Car Soup, Corvette Trader etc. I currently have a completely stock 87 coup.(except for new radio cd, mp3 player) I cannot understand why anyone would want to put one of those wings on their car. Is it just me? I have heard some feel the same way I do. When viewing cars on these sites if I see one with a wing I don't even look further. It would seem that is the quickest way to devalue your car. I realize beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It looks like overkill to me. Like someone is trying to improve something that is timeless and cannot be improved upon.
Had mine repainted last year. Was thinking seriously of a rear wing to "make it a little different" but the more I look, the more I think I'll leave it alone. I have nothing against wings, but I'll just leave mine alone for now.
i think it is definitely a personal addition, and as long as the owner doesn't care about the resale value of car. i would never discourage someone from modding their car, but as long as they know very few people look for mods like that when buying.

Don't you dare put a wing on that car!!! You already have a very unique and tasteful car. Love the wheels and stripes. I would'nt change a thing.
What? You mean my Greenwood wing doesn't increase the value of my car greatly? AHHHHH Dang it!
Seriously though, I would have never put it on myself but have grown to like it. I get positive comments on it all the time. I think the greenwood looks ok I guess. I'm not going try to fill the holes made to mount it so I guess it's there to stay.
That being said, my advise to anyone considering a wing would be. "Leave well enough alone".

Just my two cents worth.
I don’t care for them myself. To each their own.
I do however like these!
