I'm very sorry and I understand completely since I have a pair of little four legged girls to keep me company.

 

Hi I am sorry for your loss.I have lost many cats over the years.Time helps but no matter how many times it happens it is never any easier.Here is a little thing I sent in to Ferret magazine that they printed.
I have one ferret named Sammy.I don't know what I am going to do when he is gone.I have lost many cats to different things over the years.No matter how much you say you are not going to get attached,it always hurts just as bad.
A lot of times I ask myself why I keep putting my self through this.No matter how much pain it causes or how many tears are shed, in the end the joy that they give you and the love that is shared between you and them outweigh the hurt that you know you will have to face.

I have a cat now that is on her very last days on Earth. She' 16 years old, and I have to decide if I should put her to sleep or let her pass, but I don't want her to suffer. This, to me, is like a dear old family member. I can relate to how you are feeling.

I still have the collar from my first dog. It has been on several dogs since. It now sits in my drawer waiting for my next best friend. It's hard to lose one, but there is a piece of each one in that collar and when I hold it they are here.
