Anyone know where you can get a glove box conversion to replace the bread box on an 84

Those are all just replacement panels, I'm looking for an actual glove box you can open and store goodies in.

I don't think that they make one. But it would be a good project.

that wont work because of the wiring behind the breadbox.

Mine has a flat panel and there is very little room behind it. Certainly not enough for a box. The air duct to the far right side takes up a lot of room.

I replaced mine with a flat panel. I gave the breadbox toa Forum member who was going to experiment with making a prototype glove box out of it. I forgot his name but maybe he will chime in here.
Here is a pic of what is behind it. The gray box in the middle is the VATS control module.

I remember that they sold for $200 new. I heard they were discontinued. If you find a new source, please let me know. I want one. I can hide electronics in it. NOS switches etc.
