yup, i agree. on a daily basis i lay down the pedal at every single opportunity. picking the right times is key.

if this couldn't be done, then i'd be driving a neon.

I have better and more important things to do during my day. You can bet that if I pull you over it is truly because you are doing something very stupid that endangers the life of the honest hardworking person who does not want to have to worry about getting killed on the way to get a gallon of milk.

When I run radar I will not even consider pulling someone over who is 10 mph over the limit as everyone is going that fast, but if you are 15 or more over the limit you know that you are speeding so don't give me or the cop who pulls you over that stupid, what did I do wrong look because you know you are wrong.

Show a little respect to the cop and be polite and you will not believe how much you get in return. If you are 20 over the limit and he writes you for 10 over the limit to give you a break don't be an a hole to him, he could have written you the whole thing.

When I walk up to a car and the person is sincer and sorry for their actions 9 out of 10 times I just give them a verbal warning. If I walk up and they give me attitude or lip I let the pen do my talking.

Just be nice.
A good attitude has gotten me out of some things that, could have been very serous.

I have not had a ticket in a very long time, but i have been stopped several times; one state trooper even asked if my dog was ok because he was not in the car with me that time.

A female friend refuses to wear a seat belt when she is in her car, and has had 5 citations for it all ready.

She does wear one in mine because i will not drive with out her being buckled up.

She is facing some severe penalties right now mainly because of her attitude.

The stop was made because she was not wearing a seat belt.
I will not go into the details, other than it did not involve illegal drugs, but i think she ran her mouth, pissed them off and they started stacking charges, they even charged her for possession of a controlled substance, not in it original container which was a over the counter allergy medication still in the foil packaging, but not in the box.

She could get some very real time from this little stunt.
Even if she does not get any time it has all ready cost her thousands of$$.

Bottom line here is, almost no one has as much discretionary power as a police officer.

So be nice and unless you have done something really stupid you can probably go home that night.

I've been stopped exactly twice (no tickets) in three years of Corvette ownership and 20,000 miles of driving it. And I don't drive slow....the posted limit is my minimum speed.
Knowing when the odds favor you and when they don't is the key.

Im 23 and bought my vette when I was 19. Just because your 19 or 40 does not give you the right to break the law. If you don't use your blinker late at night and a cop sees you expect to get pulled over. Its common sense. I got pulled over in my winter beater coming home at about 3am for a burnt out license plate light, wait maybe they were targeting me cause I was in a 91 tempo. Get over yourself, anybody with an average paying job can buy a c4 at this point. Not trying to knock the c4 in anyway, but its the truth, they are dirt cheap right now. The only person that thinks you are special cause you have a corvette is you. To everyone else its just another car, and if you have an attitude, its just another conceded corvette owner.

Sounds like the LAPD was just doing its job.

First time you got pulled over, it was for a violation. The next times were bogus. Were you a douche the first time??? Word spreads fast!!!!!!! Treat 'em with respect to get respect. That being said, cops are human, and as with any segment of society, have their share of a@@holes too.......Just keep being polite, and they will get bored!!!

Default Bad things happen in 3's

Didn't anyone tell you bad things happen in three's? You've been pulled over 3 times. You'll be fine now. (Same thing happened to me 5 yrs ago -- i.e., 3 stops in 3 wks. One ticket). I think it's just a freak of odds.

Unless you're out at 3am alot, your statistical anamoly has been completed. If you ARE out at 3am alot, this is a wake up call to watch out for the one who deserves to get pulled over!

i am always polite and kind to the officer. and the one for excessive acceleration was from a old guy that gave me a break( ). but the speeding one was some young guy that i think was already in a bad mood or something. and i really didn't say much to the lady cop since i thought that it was a bogus ticket even if it is a law. When i have open road for about 2 miles both ways then it was a bs stop. I guess she was just making sure i wasn't drunk or something which is okay but if she had given me a ticket then i would have to have become a little ticked off. anyway i think that i just need to chill for a while but i can't say that it will be easy.

I was pulled over by a young woman police officer(mid twenties or just really good looking), and at first I thought I was nervous, and that she was towering over me, but it turned out later that she was just really tall.

When I was at my free informal hearing, it looked like she was 6'4" tall.

Remember to not throw around Bogus and ticket around here, as Bogus doesn't like getting blamed for what he didn't do.

Pick your spots where to open it up with your Vette. Apparently the times you're picking haven't been very good ones. It's all about timing!
