200mph this weekend?
well, i'm headed back to maxton, NC for the maxton monster mile and the hot rod magazing top speed challenge. if ya'll remember my post from last year, i set 2 records and went about 174mph in the standing mile. this year, i have added a full cage, a parachute, new fuel and ignition systems, and a 300hp NOS kit.
goals:
1. over 200 mph to get a hat (that barely makes sense).
2. bring home at least 2 more land speed records.
3. win the Hot Rod magazine Top Speed Challenge and take away one of those nice Hot Rod magazine embroidered jackets.
4. (most important) not break anything or hurt myself.
stay tuned, i will take some in-car video and i'll post my results mon. when i get home.

Sonny set a record at 174+ without the parachute. This is not on a highway.
This was done in 1 mile from a standing start. The car is insanely fast.
