my wife got pulled over a few days ago.

I met her and stepdaughter at Cracker Barrel.

I left, then they left in 'her' corvette.

Got home and she said that she got pulled over, sheriff said that she was going too slow and was wondering if she had been drinking.
Stedaughter was laughing at mom.

My wife just can't see real well at night

One night coming home from visiting with a friend I was in the vette and had a sheriff come ripping out of a school parking lot to follow me closely for about 3 miles....when he realized that I was not going to speed or do anything stupid he peeled off and left. Then about 2 miles up the road in a small town the town marshall was sitting on the side of the road doing paperwork...knew he was there about 2 miles prior to meeting up with him because my radar detector was screaming the whole way.....as I passed him he pulled out to follow me for about 1.5 miles until he was out of his jurisdiction and then peeled off. Of course it was 2AM in the morning and they probably thought I was either drunk or the vette was stolen Neither true.

something similar happened to me. On the way towork one afernoon I'm cruisin in the Vette jamming to the rock n roll when a cop going the other way turns around and stops me. He comes up to the car and wants to know if it is my car. I said yes and showed him the ownership. Then he said I just got a call there was a black Vette stolen and wanted to make sure it wasn't this one. Do I believe him

Considering I don't do a lot of burn outs in my Explorer I'd say the Corvette does tend to draw a little more notice.

My cop friends say they pay more attention to the ricers right now. They state from experience that the combination of these young punks being the most reckless with the least driving experience is a real killer out there.

I guess they think a fart pipe is equal to an afterburner

"Is it true that Corvettes get more "attention" from traffic police than other cars?"

Not where I live. No problems at all. No front plate either. I've noticed no looks and with my radar detector, have not noticed cops singling me out to radar.

if they find enough time between gluttoning down packs of donuts and harrassing old ladies, then yes, mr. traffic boy will be on your tail.

On the way home yesterday I was pulled over on I-10 just west of Houston. Trooper gave me a warning ticket because my license plate was dirty.

Yes, and I'll tell ya why. It's a vette. Everyone looks at a vette and say to themselves "gee, wish I had a vette". It just goes with the territory. Mine turns the heads of cops, kids with tuner cars, old folks, and fellow vetters. Maybe b/c it's Ruby Red?????????? Just expect it and know you are driving a legend! Happy motoring.

If you look too rich, too poor, or too young, or too dark, then yes.

Geography probably should be included. I've never been pulled over in my vette in 7 yrs. During that same time, one ticket and one warning in my beater (Jeep).

In a metropolis (like where I live), vettes kinda blend in the the fancy Acuras, BMWs, Mercedes, dubbed out SUVs, Lexus, etc... Hey, they all look shiny and rich.

I think red cars catch anyone's eye easier. They do for me. Add orange and yellow to the COLORs most likely to get noticed. If you drive fast, loud, crazy, and advertise with the brightest car, you'll probably get noticed. Otherwise, don't worry, be happy!

Blue eyes don't work at night they don't have enough cone receptors to take in dim light. Brown eyes are superior for night vision.

I know I have blue eyes and can't see across the street at night.
Its been a life long problem, can't drive at night except in the Mercedes which has excellent head lights and driving lights.

Some cars have better head lights than others. Since I can't see at night a cars headlights is a factor when I buy.

European cars tend to have the better lights. Must be dark in Europe.

Yeah I haven't been singled out to be radared. Like if there are other cars around and I get specially radared. Where I live there has been no problems. Yesterday I was on a highway here, it slows from 55 to 45 and then there is a stop light. I had to stop for the light, I accelerated pretty good but didn't spin the tires. After the light the speed goes back up to 55. I was at 60 a good distance before the sign, and there was a cop sitting there and got me with instant on. He could have hassled me about going 60 a bit before it turned 55 but he did not.
