I have the A/O intake as well, just a note on it, you have to saw the bumper but you can put the car back to looking stock. The sawing part won't affect mounting a plate back on. On my car I removed the air pump, this would be a large PITA to put back to stock.

Makes me feel a little weird, sawing a corvette, but you only live once, in my case 3 times. How does your ram air work for you, and how about the plenum, manifold, and tubes? I've been thinking along those lines as well. I have also SERIOUSLY considered removing my air pump as well. Probably need the holes in the stock header system brazed shut. Hard to put back to stock, but, man it opens up the view to your engine, saves you weight, and gives you a little boost in horse power. I took the belt of mine to check things, and noticed the air pump sounded pretty crappy when I turned it. I had to replace the bearing in the idler to. Pay's to remove that belt sometimes I guess.. Thanks man...

The "sawing" involved isnt as elaborate as some portray it to be. There are no SERIOUS modofications to the vehicle besides the cutting to the front inside bumper. Its not bad at all. Once you have the parts or instructions it will be very clear. As someone mentioned earlier it is easy to return to stock.

Sawing the egg crate bumper is fast but the hole saw through the fiberglass takes longer. Clean it up good. I didn't buy the full kit, the cost is crazy. I put the front scoop in and made the rest.

Air pump elim. is a fun project. You could braze the air holes shut. I was even thinking of tapping them for plugs. I left mine, and plan to do headers. Air pump elim., EGR delete, and TB bypass really help you work on the car.

Changing the manifold is really a project! I enjoyed porting the plenum, that doesn't take to long.

When you had the belt off did ya check the water pump for play?
