Default Pinks-c4

I am a moderator on thirdgen.org and saw something interesting over there. Someone had the idea to build a car using donated parts and labor. Then run it on the show. Pinks has been contacted and is interested. I think this is a brilliant idea. It was also discussed that the cars can be sold off on ebay and money goes to charity. I wonder if the idea would work here? Possibly even run them together? Forum vs forum. I offered my help there, but in the name of charity, would offer it here too. Any thoughts on this?

I bet very little money (actual cash) would be needed. Most of us have crap on the shelves that would be worthwhile to the cause. And the cause would be charity.I also volunteer to drive it

Would that be fair since you are a mod for "the competition"??? I'd say you drive the 3rd gen car and let Mr. Mojo drive the C4 Moderator vs Moderator

I actually detest that show, it's way too contrived. But if I could donate anything to a good cause, I'd be game.

i cant stand to watch it. he gives away wins. he gave somone 20 car lengths the last time i saw it and i decided never again to watch it. people shouldnt bitch about losing there car to somthing more powerful when you enter a competition like that. the better driver shouldnt have to give up any length. should always be heads up, run what yah brung. if you guys actually compete you need to agree befor hand to always be heads up or thats not a race in my opinion.

I tried to watch it a couple of times and a lot more time was spent pissing and moaning than actually racing.

I've actually never seen that show, but the idea of racing for pinks sounds pretty stupid to me. Think about all the money and time put into a car and then its gone and you've got nothing for it. I race for fun, so maybe theres a better way to raise money for charity.

Pete sorry on this one! That show is quiet sorry too!(personal opinion) I've watched a few times actualy maybe more than I needed to to develope a disinterest for someone who gives away a win when they did it right the first time and the other competitor starts B...CH and whine after he loses. What's done is done and it should stay that way!

Heck! No! I wont put my Vette's pink up for nothin'.

Now I would entertain the idea of snatchin' another forum members Vette and having someone totally restoring it for them and look at the suprise in their face!(just a thought though)

Thanks,Matt

I've tried to watch the show a few times, but a honda with 10 lengths against a mustang both squeezing, but the mustang sandbags and walks away winner everytime!!!!! Now if there was just pride on line head to head same cars, same mods, same HP that would be cool. The show has too much crying and cheating.

It was funny to watch the kid with the Honda cry as the other guy flogged his car down track after winning it.

So where will the proposed car be constructed or raced?

That show is all They act like its street racing, what a joke. Who in the hell would street race the same damned car best three out of five on the street ? They're at the track so why in the hell don't they use the tree and turn the lights on so we can see what the cars are running ? That show is some weird form of sand baggin hillbilly bracket racing.

While its not to be taken very seriously, I actually like Pinks quite a bit. Needless to say, I would love to see a C4 episode.

Folks...Pete isn't asking anyone to race their own vette for pinks...he is suggesting we build a forum C4 from used parts and race it for charity...

I would do what I could and I suggest the race be at one of the Orlando shows so I can be on the pit crew...he he he

BTW, the host is a knucklehead and as long as he is there the show will never have any credibility with racers...
