I absoloutely love that sound, reminds me of this:

http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...&q=zonda&hl=en

Is there a way to make a corvette sound like this that's lighter than the stock muffler? I'm looking for a lighter muffler and if I can find one that has a somewhat quiet but awesome sound like this has, it would be great, unless there are much lighter choices. Or if these things somehow rob horsepower with inefficient flow or something. Enlighten me.

I've had my set for many years & really like the ability to shut em down on the rare occasion I don't want to bother the neighbors late at night etc. I polished out the whole tip rings on mine when I first got em...

Add 4 more cylinders and your there. Zonda 7.3 L V12,,2,711 wet pounds its a monster.

If you love the way a Zonda sounds do not ever watch the Porsche CGT. It will have you rethinking the way a car is supposed to sound.

Btw borla's now suck. Thanks

So did you get them installed? If so, how's the sound?

Yup...installed the PE last weekend and all I can say is ....it sounds unbelievable!! Kind of a mellow idle to a deep howl at 7k WOT.

Had an issue with resonance after the initial install...it was bad!! at 1800 and 3200 rpm. Ultimately found that the rear hangers were loose in the rubber grommets and the metal grommet supports were hitting the muffler bodies. After some adjusting, extra rubber and grinding the supports, all is well. About 90% of the resonance gone....

Here's how she looks....

Hans

Looks great to me! Appears the sound is the same. I'd be interested in a sound clip if you are ever able to put one together. I'd like to hear how it sounds on a Z.

Power Effects guys called me...its going to be a while before they have anything, but they seemed like really good guys. I'm going to wait for them to make some more, I guess they've not been able to make any for a year now, so who knows if they really will again or not, but I think they will.

Until then I am in the market for a used setup.
