C5 Conversion

The biggest factor will be the selling price once all is said and done. But then again, it's going to depend on your market. I personally think the stock lines of a c4 are boring, my Father feels the same. When we went to go pick it up, he said it was the best looking one he's seen because of the kit. Trends and fashions change. Just because my car was
in the 80's doesn't mean anything about today. Lately I've been really digging the c5 coupe look, so who knows, if it's still for sale down the road, I may have to check it out
if you wanna see some flamin threads look for 'lambo doors' or anything other kit thread. here's a digitalcorvette thread I found on google:

if you don't wanna read the thread (it's short) I'll just snip the links to the pics :P

you could also check the websites of the companies that sell them
sorry we weren't more help. c4 gen is usually really helpful... until it comes to something outside of the norm (even then there's usually a few good replies).
This is art plain and simple This is not a bodykit.

This is
.
Look at the lines they are the lines of a poser car.
Sorry thats the truth undeniably to anyone who cares about style.
One more of callaway which is freakin awesome.

Here's a Mosler it also is awesome and is not considered in the same sentence as poser.

Ligenfelter even has wretched excess it is freakin sweet. Now that is a bodykit but its awesome.
Tell your Dad Postpro says. Corvetteforum is here to help him navigate in his choices of modifying. Its not even an opinion of option, its common knowledge to any true Corvette owner and its almost like saying fu to us that try to help him not look like poser.
Its not kewl its sacrilegious.
At this point it is all irrelevant anyway, since you have already stated that the kit is ON the car and that it was waiting for paint. I personally don't care for the kit or the C5 in general with the exception of the FRC and Z06, but I guarantee you that your dad has no trouble selling the car, so long as he prices it within reason.
A lot of people do like the look and the attention any modded car brings, but they either don't post with the extremely vocal purist here or will be found on less "restrictive" forums. I bet the car would sell quick with nice wheels, new paint and just a set of offroad pipes and flowmasters to give the "image". A regular C4 has a bigger market, but more cars to pick from, and since it was wrecked/damaged, would have been harder to sell anyway. A modded C4 has a smaller market, but people who have been looking for something particular may be quicker to jump when they find it. Again, not my cup of tea, but I don't think it was a bad idea your dad had from a reselling point of view. Good luck to you both!
