Hi guys. I'm a newbie to the C4 side. I own a Z06 personally but my dad has a '94 convertible that he put the C5 body kit on. That may be blastphemy to some of the purists but I feel that aside from a Callaway Aerobody, this is the finest adaptation of the C4 if you feel that the look has to be changed. I personally like the C4 body style but prefer the newer styles. Ok, my question is if there are like minded individuals here with this C5 conversion done to their cars, could you post some pics of them please so I can show my dad? He isn't a member here and I'd love to show him some completed cars, if any. Also, we are nearing completion of body work and paint of his car and would like to post pics here to get some opinions. I wasn't going to spill it but I wanted to mention that he converted the front nose to a Tigershark look which is pretty unique, especially to a C4. Any info and pics would be greatly appreciated.

i like the c4 body style and the c5 body style but if i did prefer the c5 i would just sell the c4 and buy the c5, how much is the completion cost of the kit/install in total? for the record i prefer the c4 though
Those are some good pics. And you are right, vancityguy, if you like a C5, buy one. Again, not here to offend anyone, but my dad bought this car from a salvage dealer with slight to moderate damage and decided to add this kit. I'm a Corvette guy to the bone. I love all of them. Between my dad and I, we've owned a '57, '78, '80, '82, 2 '98 convertibles, 2 '00 convertibles, '02 vert, and my newest, the '01 Z06. There's not any year model that I dislike, but there are some models I like more than others, much like the majority of members here. I'm all for making a car unique unto itself, but making one body style look like another seems strange to me. Like I said, when this car is done, it will look great, but maybe he should have spent less time (and money) and bought another C5. If possible, could more of you post more pics to give us some more ideas? Thanks again.
My dad is away for 2 weeks on vacation, but I will contact him. I'm not sure if he will buy another C4 right now or not, but that is a great price on that kit. I can reply later this afternoon to let you know after I speak with him.

makes more sense if it was a salvaged car with damage compared to a mint condition pampered car for sure, got some detailed pics?
if installed correctly, i think they look pretty decent. I think it just looked WEIRD though when you look at the hood and see its still the clamshell.
but other than that, looks fine. its "just another body kit" (except for the C5 guys that get offended, but screw them hah!)
i think it would look cool if you left the C4 logo on the front hood instead of the C5 logo... just for something different, and perhaps the late C4 "CORVETTE" lettering on the back instead of the stock C5 lettering.
I'll definately post pics when I get it back from paint. My dad also bought a set of C5 seats but I don't think they are gonna work. They sit too high. The car came with only the driver's seat (that isn't in great shape) so I will need a passenger seat if anyone has one. It definately has a unique look with the "tigershark" front bumper my dad modified from the regular C5 piece. Also, the factory radio is dead. It has backround lighting but no sound and no display. Any ideas other than the obvious? Anything new offered to replace the odd sized opening? But mostly, I'm looking for pics, especially convertibles, to look at to get ideas of what the finished product will look like. Pics please! Thanks
Most conversions I've seen make me Barf. But Honestly, those first pics of that orange car.. very, very very well done. i gotta admit it looks decent from those angles and in those pics. I would probably barf again because of the high rise hood but the hood is up in the pic so it looks good imo
I must say, the pics of that orange car do look good, but I agree that the high rise hood probably kills the smooth lines of the car. It is a good example of what it can look like when a lot of attention is paid to the details. I will post pics soon as we get it close to paint.
I know right now where there is a C-4 to C-5 completed car for sale. If anyone is interested it is at Community Auto Sales in Deland Fl. It looks pretty clean and well done, it started as a mid 80s car. I dont know what he wants. The guys name is Andy.
