192mph this weekend!

192mph this weekend!
and i had a great in-car video of it too... until i got home and my camera crapped out on me! it says the file is corrupted!!
anyway, i made a couple of passes at the maxton monster mile this past weekend. i wound up with a record in the A/FSS class at 186mph (which also got me my class B license) and another record at 192mph in the AA/FSS class. i was only teched to run 185mph (i gotta have roof rails and window tabs for 200mph), so i called it quits before i got in trouble. I let my buddy get in the car and he did his 125 certification run (turned 135mph) for his D license, and then his 150 run (at 161mph) for his C license. the fastest he had ever been in a car before that was 110mph, so he was pretty pumped!
if i get the video recovered, i will post a link... i have a video from the 186mph run, but the camera was zoomed in a little too far and you can't see much except for grass and cones whizzing by. i'll see if i can get it cut down and converted and i will post it.
hopefully i will be going back oct 28th and 29th if everything works out.

i was in the A/FSS class and sprayed only in 5th (which is the video i posted here) and wound up with a record at 186mph. i then changed classes to AA/FSS and sprayed a little bit in 4th and all the way through 5th and got 192mph (also for a record) but that's the video that got corrupted.

it's actually a good angle, and should have included the dash, the shifter, the tach light, a little bit of the forward view through the windshield, some lateral view through the side window (for perspective of speed) my eyes in the rear view mirror, etc... but like i said, my trusty assistant didn't realize that it could be zoomed out further...

lol i just played it so loud on my computer speakers (1400 watt nakimichi sound setup) my neighbor came over and complained i woke him up

how the heck are ya?
it would run out of gear in 5th at about 206 or so without changing anything... (cuz from talking to people who have been there-done that, i don't think it will pull 6th gear) if i changed the rear gear and/or put a taller tire it could go much faster, but would certainly require aero mods to get there, and would require bonneville type distances to get up to speed. my power-adder-of-choice would probably not be NOS for long pulls like that. i'd want to get my HP some other way. hmmm... twin turbos?
