Scared
Last week i took my '88 out for a drive. it ran great.A little before I got home the "service engine soon" light came on. No effect on the way it ran. I put it in the garage. Sunday ,I go to start it and it looked like the 4th of JULY. Lights were coming on and going of in the dash I didn't even know I had. Anyway. It will start for about 3 seconds and then die. I am so afraid that I hurt my car.

Code 22 - Throttle Position Sensor Circuit

Mods - Is it okay for me to scan in from my FSM and post a link to a pdf of that problems diagnostic sheets?
I know Agent 86 has helped many people by doing this, and was wondering if it's legal to do.

Test the battery or have it tested somewhere. Use the pdf's AGENT 86 posted to figure out the codes. This could be a ground problem. Start with the lowest number code first (22). After you fix that one, disconnect the battery for 30 sec and connect it back. Try and start the car and see what you have.
