Thieves....
I went outside today to go and get in the car for work, and when walking past my Corvette i noticed some thieving c*** has stollen my frigen valve caps.... What makes this so bloody iritating is the fact that they have C4 logos on them, they were done up too tight to undo with fingers, and the car was parked in my driveway beside my house. This means not only did they trespass on my property, they brought their own tool to remove these caps.
No one saw anything and no one knows if they saw anyone there that shouldnt have been there... (might sound like alot of anger for valve caps, but its the principal of the issue....)
It wouldve been worth their while if id have caught the barstards in the act....

Nothin I hate worse than a friggin thief...went out to dive my 62 one day, didn't start, lifted the hood and the whole intake was gone...there'd been more than a butt kicking If I'd caught them.

In the past I've had to replace mine several times a year. Thats why I stick to the cheaper plain chrome type. I even keep extra sets in the console for a quick replacement. Have you tried these?

They are the ones i had yep. Ive never seen a key to lock them though, how does that work?(im not sure how that would stop anyone removing them with a spanner as they did mine!!) I use a spanner that i keep in the center console.

A friend was bitchin about some thieves who broke into his house.
I said, buy a gun, he said he did, and they stole it.
When he got feed up being broken into he sold the house.
He told the guy who bought it that the thieves were there more than he was. The new owner said, they're in trouble Im from New York.
Not much you can do short of a garage......I just can't beleive that theres thieves down under, transplants from California?

, ill let you know if i can get some more locally first, if not i might have to trouble you for a set. The guy that has the shop i bought them from said he had those sitting there for 18 months(one set), he reckons no one even knew what car they were for. Reckons he sells loads of Ford, Holden, BMW, Mecedes Benz, Mitsubishi and Honda sets every week, as well as the ocational Chevy bowtie and Chrysler set, so hopefully he ordered another Corvette set to replace the one i bought!!

i hear ya case...while i was at work one day some SOB stole my passenger side center caps off my gunmetal Zr-1's and to add insult to injury he used a flathead screwdriver and chipped the paint on both wheels...i hate thieving a-holes

I totally Agree with you, I had over $3000 in parts stolen from my Drag Mustang Gt, I left it at a shop had them work on it then I call them to find out when my car was done, the guy replies didnt you know someone broke into your car, I said no and no one from your business called me, so make a long story short Im taking them to small claims court and sueing them for well over $8000 and gona have their business shut down if possible YOU CANT TRUST NOBODY THESE DAYS

The last piece of chit who tried to get into my Vette at night ended up in police custody within about an hour. I was awake, chased them to their car parked across the street and got the licence plate as they sped away from me. Police put out the call over the radio. They were caught with a bunch of stolen merchandise in the trunk, and the car was stolen.
