When I was putting my system in, with the exception of bogus' excellent information, it was tough finding what I wanted and getting ideas.

I think having a c4 audion section is like brainstorming. All that information in one area gives a lot of food for thought. Lot more people seeing the same stuff, rather than having to sift thru a bunch of irrelevant information. Also, If I remember correctly you can't search specifically for the term c4 so that it's hard to pull up what you want.

I vote for the c4 only audio section

I voted!
Heck, many Bose speakers died fighting for the right for us to vote..

BTW my questions are so basic - the most I ever did was install a cassette player and 2 speakers into my VW bug - that they haven't been answered in any audio section.

I think I will just take it to an audio shop and let them do the figuring out..there are just too many choices out there.

IT's already in the C4 Tech FAQ under the heading of Online Resources.

Short of spoon feeding it to people, I don't know how to make it any easier. Life requires a little effort... and so, I guess, does navigating an internet site.

I dont know why anyone thinks this is a good idea. The audio section gets so little traffic with people answering questions, if you split it up by generation, each generation will get LESS traffic.

The sticky at the top of the audio section about C4 FAQ covers everything specific to installing/fixing a stereo in a C4. Other than that, selecting car audio equipment is pretty much the same for every car, the only thing that changes is space constraints. I have installed stereos in all the cars I have had (Volvo, Bronco, Corvette, and currently Land Rover) and they all have been pretty much the same. Put in a deck that fits, and then find speakers that are made for the vehicle or use what ever speakers I want with custom mounts and build a sub enclosure to suit the vehicle and space.

Specifics on equipment specs really has little to do with what kind of vette that you own.
