C4 Audio Thread
There is a dedicated audio section as it is, and no one comes over there... it's amazing how many still post audio questions here...
Audio/Electronics
C4 Audio FAQ. The annoying part? I have in big print, "This is not for questions..." and people still ask questions.

It would be a lot easier too just click on the links to the left under Community.
Vote please!
I voted yes because I found that there is very little response to posts in the audio section to C4 inquiries. But, the more I think about it, recognizing that most of the C4 regulars hang out largely in the C4 sections, why not just post C4 audio questions here (like we do with every other question)?

The bottom line is thus: The C5 and C6 are easier to upgrade. There are more bose related interface options, the interior is easier to deal with and the doors actually hold speakers... lotsa speakers.
When it comes to C4 audio, the majority of the info is either in the FAQ or available from a quick search.
Finally, audio is audio. There really isn't anything all that different about putting a good system into a C4 or into a Civic. The head units all fit, the amps all fit... the options get harder when you consider subs, top fitment and dealing with the bose. However, all of that has been well documented. Theory is theory... SQ is SQ... and doing it right is doing it right.
It comes down to being patient. I try to answer as many audio related questions as I can, but I am one of a very select group in the C4 area that actually understands audio and it's requirements in the car. Kale (a former C4 owner), -=Jeff=-, deaggie, Teddydog and a couple others that escape me at the moment.
Outside of the C4 gang, there is an entire group of guys who are EXPERTS in this arena. ScottFX, duramax dave, pentavolvo, fej and englandgreen. The bottom line is that audio is NOT all that car specific. What you need to know truely exists - bose options and such - the key is knowing what is new and available.
This is why a C4 specific audio section is a bad idea. All it will do is dilute the Audio section as we know it, and won't do much more than ask the same insipid questions over and over again...

Come to the audio/electronics section. Post questions. We will help as best we can.

We have also requested our own moderator, one dedicated to keeping the audio section neat and tidy. This mod could then keep the titles in sync and such.
It is important that things are cleaned up in there... but adding a generation specific section to the Audio section is no different than adding an Audio section here.
fej and EatRice are echoing what I said: It will dilute the useful interchange of audio related ideas.
If I could continue to vote "no," I would. It's just a very bad idea.
