Default New Updated 1990 Corvette Interior

I know that the interior underwent an extensive change in 1990. 1990 is when the Corvette Interior went to the "Cockpit" look & feel. Also, the Instrument Cluster went to "Hybrid Design" with Analog Guages for engine functions & Digital Guages for Speed, Fuel, and Odometer. 1990 Corvette buyers also found a Passenger Side Glovebox where the "Breadloaf" used to be.

dan the man.... hahaha ur on corvetteforum... go back to TGO you camaro loser.. jk. lol. 84-89 vette have pretty much the same interior (same dash gauges dash and overall look) 84 readout gauges font was lil diff from the 85-89. The 84-85 also had a skinnier steering wheel (not the full grip thick ones like the 86-89) Also the 84-85 dash pad didnt cover up the gauges well enough like the 86-89 (ppl complained that the sun hit the gauges and couldnt read it) In 1988 the seats were redisgned and had carpet over the door sills (84-87 had plastic door sills) Also in 88 the design of the e brake lever was changed. Stayed the same until 1990 when the changed it all. Like the pic above.. It had yellow fonts and the seats were still the same has 88-89.. The dash was changed and now had non digital RPM oil press thermostat readouts . Only the mileage/trip/fuel gauge and speedo was digital pretty much in a small yellow/goldish square. (unlike the 84-89 everything was digital besides the mileage , but the trip A and B were digital) By 94 they didnt have carpet on the door panels and change the seats design with white font instead of yellow (84-89 had white font as well). The steering wheel changed as well (ugliest c4 wheel) Brief descript.. I hope i confused u

85 dash

85 graphite leather sport seats:

85 faded rear hatch carpet:

Yes skinny steering wheel in 1984-85.

Black center caps on rims in 84-85.

Not sure when digital dash disappeared?

Or when tail lights went to square?

86 had first high mounted brake light on rear.

1988 seats and 1989 seats are VERY different.

1989 seats were the ones that introduced that style that remained through 1993

1988 seats were similar to 1984+ seats

also, 1984-85 steering wheels were thin. 1986-1989 wheels were much thicker on the rim and then in 1990, they were designed to incorporate an airbag - new dash too... 1994 saw another change in seats and dash.

Lights went to square in 90.
Also 90 with loss of digital dash.

Lights went square ONLY on the ZR1 in 1990. The in 1991, the body was redesigned w/ convex rear, and narrower nose - square lights in all y-body cars for 91

you are right. 88 still had the similar still has the 84-87. my
bad. the 89 was introduced with that new style seat till 93.

and yes dan the 90-93 vettes did come with airbag steering wheel as well. Just like our annoying 91 Z/28s did. I rather have that Iroc S/W from the factory. the 94-96 c4 has em as well, just lil more bulky STYLE wheel. Funny i like the 90-93 steering wheel/seats better. but like the 94-96 door panels/white font better. I would be stuck with somthing i didnt like if i owned a 90-96 interior c4 car.

also was there any changes between the 90-93 dash from the 94-96??? (white font) IIRC did they add a Air bag on the passenger side in 94?

u should look for a 90 vette w/ a zf 6 speed then. u like the air bag wheel. the old c4 body style. and the 90 vette doesnt have everything digital with the new interior.

My Sentiments Exactly.

New Updated Interior
Lower Purchase Price, due to concave rear facia - IMO

Kind of an odd year model.
