What's interesting is that the light housing under the back of the C4 is the same housing used for the license plate lamp on the C5. The bulb is a 194 so if the light doesn't work , try a replacement bulb.
This thread inspired me to check my 89 and I found that the bulb was burned out. Even though the exterior housing the same as the C5 license plate lamp, a 194 won't fit into the holder (the base is too wide). The under-bumper light holder takes a #24 lamp (around $1 at Autozone). Anyone want a surplus 194 lamp?
On a side note, while searching for the correct light bulb for this holder, I did an internet search for "89 Corvette undercar light bulb" or something similar. The top hit was for blue neon tubes. Hmm. Note quite the light bulb I was looking for.

My car has a bad driving sensor. Lights will flash in the rear view mirror, then it makes honking sounds and the windows will suddenly have spare change and soda cans bouncing off of them.
Try it out some time!

Since we've shed light on the lights , another "feature" if you have the old Delco Bose radio is the capability for seven station presets beyond the four buttons. To store the extra three, store like you normally would but hit buttons 1 and 2, or 2 and 3, or 3 and 4 at the same time. To use the preset, just hit the two buttons at the same time again. This is assuming that you still have the original head unit! I learned this in the Forum about a year ago.
Huh? NOBODY uses their turn signals in Florida (except maybe me). In fact, if you do, I'm pretty sure the police can stop you for suspicious behavior...
Most of us know by now about the secret compartments in the doors, the spare tire light, and the hatch releases.
I found another one this weekend.
Driving down the freeway, en route to a Forum GTG, and I hear the ding...ding...ding of the warning chime. You know, the one that goes off if you pull the key out of the ignition without turning off the lights?
What the heck....?? My lights aren't on and I'm running 80mph...?
After spending a panicky 30 seconds looking for problems and finding none, I notice my turn signal has been on since a lane-change about two miles back.
Turned the signal off and the chime went silent!!!
I never knew that.

__________ I ain't easily impressed....
Larry,
Thanks for the info about the spare tire light , just thought I would check my 92.
Check this out my 92 has the mounting bracket with the screws half way out , the wiring and socket with a burned out bulb , but no housing or lens , go figure.
Someone must have removed the housing assm. and never reinstalled it.
Just wondering if anyone has the part number for the lens and or the bulb housing , thanks in advance.
