Another Hidden Feature...
Most of us know by now about the secret compartments in the doors, the spare tire light, and the hatch releases.
I found another one this weekend.
Driving down the freeway, en route to a Forum GTG, and I hear the ding...ding...ding of the warning chime. You know, the one that goes off if you pull the key out of the ignition without turning off the lights?
What the heck....?? My lights aren't on and I'm running 80mph...?
After spending a panicky 30 seconds looking for problems and finding none, I notice my turn signal has been on since a lane-change about two miles back.
Turned the signal off and the chime went silent!!!
I never knew that.

I'll have to try that and see if my 90 will do it.

Only the 94's - 96's had them in the door armrests. You could flip up the armrest and there is a small compartment in there.

That is good to know, because that drives me crazy when I'm driving down the highway and see someone with there turn signal on.
I don't want to be that guy.

I leave my keys in there when i have it in the garage. Nobody really else knows about it really so it's probably safer then being inside the house.

I can't hear the turn signal flasher ticking, or the "You left it on, Dummmy!" chime over the exhaust system on my '94...
Be well,

Thats two things I learned this week-spare tire light and rear view mirror "mood" light that stays on when driving at night.I believe it is amber color and has a soft glow that shines on the shifter..Mine is out and will try to get a replacement bulb.
Thanks Guys for the info

I looked for it previously on my 93 (not a ZR1) it isn't there, so expect is just on certain year cars.
