Well I've owned so many cars in my life I don't really get attached to them, but I really really liked this one. Gorgeous day to day, 78, sunny, perfect for driving with the top down and stereo blasting. Crap.

Keep an eye out in your neighborhood and throughout your area for a pickup truck with some damage to it...or perhaps with your paint on its bumper.
Also, look closely at your Vette for any paint smudges that might give you an idea as to the color of the culprit's truck.
Good luck finding this lowlife, and when you do...sue his socks off.

You sure he shouldn't claim he was in the vehicle and claim some pain and suffering as well?
A couple of months ago a drunk ran into my car and my wifes car in our driveway at 4:30 in the morning (luckily the Vette was in the garage). Ours were the 3rd and 4th car she hit that night in the complex. Along with breaking down a gate and tearing up a bunch of landscaping. She didn't even live there, she was so wasted she thought she was in her complex on the other side of town.
Of course she had a suspended license and no insurance. Typical South Florida crap.
So what do you do when you need to go to the store?
I dont know about you, but when I go to the store if I drive the vette, wifeypoo goes into the store I baby sit the vette!!! If you dont have a wife and your car gets tore up, you are still way ahead, wives are expensive.
I wish I had not posted the above, just sitting here (without) a wife I could have a c4, c5, c5, c6 and later a c7. Wives are expensive, who would think a wife is more sexpensive than a vette??? Oh well!!!
Ouch! That sucks. NOt sure how it is in your state, but here on hit and runs you don't have to pay a deductable. May be about the only good news about this horrible act of violence.
no doubt someone was on the way home ,from the bar. I would bet they live in your neighborhood. Drive around.each street, slowly, and look. Backyard? parked up close to the garage,or in the garage ( seen thru open door). You wont be able to determine who was driving, but the owner of the car will have to pay out. Best of luck.
This is a bad situation you're in and I wish you luck in finding this guy.
However, the lesson and moral of the story here is... Don't park your Corvette overnight on the street.

He should be able to park his car wherever he wishes.
