Did the hood get touched it looks like it broken in the one pic... But anyways that sucks that is going to be big money to replace..... If that hood is messed up they might just total it... I am sorry for you loss... Probably some drunk driving scumbag.
The neighbor across the street saw the truck that hit it, so that investigation is ongoing. The left side hood, drivers door, a little on the rear quarter panel, window gone, and the drivers seat is pushed aside. I guess I'll see what my insurance says. They might total it out. I know Vettes arent cheap to fix. (don't we all) NADA says 10-12K and I know that's optimistic. I had it for sale for 9K with a lot of calls on it and test drives. Dang, I really loved driving it.
oh OUCH!!! I am sorry to see that happened to you!
been there done that.
Round one: car was broken into .Busted my interior all up, broke the door panel outsides, busted my windows, etc. Insurance paid out.
Round two, vandals threw a concrete block the size of a basketball into my windshield when it used to be parked at my parents house in the street. Did a LOT of damage. Never caught the people, they also hit up several other cars in the neighborhood too
Get it taken care of ASAP... I realized the longer I let the car sit both times, the more violated I felt and the creepy feeling I had when I got into the car that "someone else had been there violating my car".

That's good, that at least narrows it down.
Keep an eye out in your neighborhood and throughout your area for a pickup truck with some damage to it...or perhaps with your paint on its bumper.
Also, look closely at your Vette for any paint smudges that might give you an idea as to the color of the culprit's truck.
Good luck finding this lowlife, and when you do...sue his socks off.
